Our Specialty Programs
STEAM
Five years ago, YSA established a STEM program as part of its enrichment classes. The evolutionary development of Young Einstein allowed for the incorporation of the arts during the second year of the program. Children are naturally inquisitive. Therefore, activities that promote learning through the inquiry process stimulate students’ natural curiosity, leaving them interested, excited, and enthusiastic about STEAM learning.
IDEA
IDEA (inquire, discover, explore, ask) is a new class at Young Scholar’s Academy designed exclusively for our three-year-olds. Participants will inquire about their world. They will discover far-away places and explore interesting aspects of their own backyard. They will ask questions and seek answers. Through authentic, hands-on learning experiences, the children will be immersed in aspects of art, literature, geography, world cultures, and mathematical and scientific inquiry.

Steam/Building Up Steam Program
In 2016, YSA established a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) program as part of its enrichment classes. The evolutionary development of the Young Einstein Program has allowed us to incorporate the arts (STEAM) during the second year of the program. In 2019, we created a BUILDING UP STEAM program for the Transitional Kindergarten students.
Participants in the STEAM and BUILDING UP STEAM Programs conduct inquiries into the world that surrounds them; discover far-away places; explore interesting aspects of their own backyard; and ask questions and uncover answers. Through authentic, experiential learning, students will use the STEAM and BUILDING UP STEAM framework to dissect and examine various aspects of art, literature, geography, world cultures, and mathematical and scientific inquiry. Although the model for both classes are the same, the content differs based on the development levels and needs of Pre Kindergarten 4 and Transitional Kindergarten students.
