Pre-kindergarten

When the child enters the Pre-K 4 program they will have acquired and developed important skills  that will act as a foundation on which this class is built. The environment is one which supports and encourages the child to confidently make decisions, as emerging agency is developed.

Our teachers act as a guide as they establish healthy boundaries to assist in this process. This program scaffolds the mathematical and literacy rich program that the child was introduced to in the three year old program. In planning, the teachers create a class environment that will encourage the children to seek answers as they become interested. They begin their induction into the academic arena.

Creative Aspects of the Program

Art

At this age the child has the ability to experiment with a variety of tools and media to create. Their confidence aids them in making decisions and provides them with  pride in their finished projects.

Collaboration

This level enables the child to find pleasure in friendships. The ability to play and work together brings satisfaction and joy.

Developing their voice

Each child knows that what they think and what they say has merit and importance. They have the right to be heard and have opinions.

creating

All children are curious and imaginative. Our environment is rich, nurturing, and encourages the process to manage thoughts and creations.

Outside Activities

The benefit of children being outside to learn, to explore, experiment, observe and play while concurrently doing so with peers has immeasurable benefits.

Our schedule includes time in our Big Center Room, outdoor activities, snack, music, art, gym, and French.
